I took a wire, one that was thin enough to attach to the 10th pin, and long enough to attach to the Fan's metal peice. If you hold it in the right position, with those wires connecting there, you can enter RCM. I don't understand how I managed to do it, but I did.

Yes, grounding pin 10 is how one enters RCM. There is also a ground directly alongside pin 10; pin 1/2 and seven.

I don't know if anyone mentioned the fan specifically but I think someone mentioned you can ground it to some of the screws and that also works.

Yeah, its just extremley uncomfortable, at least for me, when trying to hold the wire, while also trying to press the buttons

You're connecting pieces of metal together that normally do not connect together; its not a guarantee it will work the first time. Even some jigs tend to fail especially after long periods of usage.

If you have the right thickness wire you could simply ground pin 10 to the rail behind it
