I played through Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze in multiplayer using the alternate gamepad layout (with the d-pad). At some point I noticed that donkey kong moved slower than dixie kong. I tested this by starting from stop from the same spot. Dixie accelerates faster and has a higher top-speed. I assumed it was because he was "fat".
Later I tried the other control scheme by accident, and donkey kong's sluggishness was gone! Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not connected to the internet, so maybe they fixed it in an update.
I guess, let this be a warning to you. Don't use the d-pad layout!
