Mario Kart 8 XCI did not work any more. Had to remove it and install an untrimmed version of the game.

Thanks for that info. I do not use any XCI content though since i play the games in their original game cartridges.

There was a different trimming tool. This one broke it. The normal trimmed version works now.

Can you name the tool that broke the XCI? So we can avoid it.

Probably the NXTrimmer. Kart 8 has user's manual ncas, the tool will remove those ncas as [nm] on the filename. As the result, SX won't run.

Wait, these games no longer work if I update my Switch to 6.1.0 using the latest version of SX-OS? I've never used a trimming tool before.

Don't worry about that. They work on all firmware and up-to-date SX OS with normal trim (xci cutter).

No problems so far with 6.1.0 + SXOS 2.2.1 Beta.

BTW: I'm using Switch Backup Manager for trimming and managing, never had any problems with it.

Are all NSP files still working for 6.1.0 and while in SXOS?
I'm about to get a new Switch and plans to update it to 6.1.0 then link an NNID account before installing SXOS.
I will mostly be running NSP games though. I read reports that a lot of NSP won't work on 6.1.0 anymore. Is this still true?

Maybe you should firstly confirm your new Switch can be hacked.
