I've been looking into getting the 2DS XL lately and I know i'll want to use earphones with it. My only problem is a lot of my wired earphones have broken and I've been sticking to my bluetooth ones, will I be able to connect it to the DS?

None of the 3DS family of consoles feature built-in Bluetooth connectivity. The only way would be to purchase a Bluetooth audio transmitter, plug it into the console's audio-out port, then pair that to your headphones.
