Hardware Does my New 3ds XL Fates has an IPS screen?

A friend of mine said that pic 1 and 4 tell him its an IPS on top since the color remain vivid with that angle.
Then he said pic 1 tells him both screens are ips since he tried his New 3DS XL that has an TN bottom with the same angle, and the bottom screen almost washed out in white. But the bottom screen looks OK in pic#1.

The best way to tell is turn your WiFi on and look t at it sideways if you can see your WiFi bars clearly then you have a isp panel, if not then TN and try to do it in a dark room with your brightness to the highest.

It's a little hard since there is light in the room and your WiFi is disabled.

Quite frankly I have seen such comment several times while doing research on google on several places. And while it doesn't help answering my question, I find it entertaining. Thank you.

Is there any comment on the bottom screen from picture 1? Is there anybody here own an TN bottom screen that could do a checkup with that angle, is the screen still visible with same color in pic 1? We can take the Two buttons at the bottom: "MANUAL" and "OPEN" at a starting point to get a similar angle, It seems that the screen is cover a bit of the bottom of "MANUAL" and "OPEN"?

I would really appreciate any insight from generous users here to help me out with opinions. I don't have the console on my hand currently, these are pictures I request from seller.

I would definitely do so if I had the console on hand. Unfortunately I don't. I was hoping some1 kind enough to mimic the angle from picture #1 and tell me if there is any difference.

most fates 3DSXL has TN top screen and IPS bottom screen
you have the opposite
there are rare cases where the 2 screens are IPS.

question, does your console make annoying clicky sound when you open the led like the normal 3DSXL?

for OP, DON'T TRUST SELLERS THAT SAY HE HAVE DUAL IPS SCREEN FOR SALE.
i saw many people got robbed because of that.

If you want dual ips and don't care about FE fates, just get the gamestop exclusive new 3ds Hyrule edition they come with dual ips and they won't overcharge you. If you are in the usa

My Fates 3DSXL had a TN top/IPS bottom, and didn't click when opening which I liked, but had very rough cutouts for the LEDs (which weren't as nice). So I'm having the IPS display swapped with my MM3DSXL which has an overall better build quality IMO.

I heard this isn't true,I heard they still have TN's hyrule editions.
