Gaming Does it really take this long?

I'm downloading the demo GRID, it is 795mb (or around about that) and it is taking soooo long.

Am i only one getting this slowness in downloading demos? What can i do you improve it?

I can't hook my 360 up to my router via ethernet because it is to far away and i've moved my wifi bridge as close as possible to the router.

My 360s are both on the other side of the house from my wireless router, and the Live downloads seem pretty fast to me ...

if it's lower than 500kb/... thats your problem. you need to pony up more money to your ISP to get the fastest they have available in your area.

I have damn good speeds normally but for some reason on Live, I never get full speed either. Demos take a long time for me to dowload too sometimes. I think it also as to do with the server load of XBL at the time.

It would have been nice if Microsoft would implement some kind of bandwidth monitor to let us know exactly how fast the downloads were going.

Anyways, I've been downloading more demos and they seem to go faster.

You download at 1.6MBps? Thats weird. You should be downloading at half of that.
