Hi i wanted to know if I update my Nintendo switch to the latest firmware will hard modding still work?

The CVE-2018-6242 (tethered coldboot hardmod exploit) works on all firmwares for current Switch revisions. It cannot be patched out. However, certain homebrew may or may or not work on certain firmware which is usually out of the devs control and may require regular updating of their work.
