So, the old Homebrew Starter Kit came with something called HANS. I'm not exactly sure how broken HANS is these days, except that there's pretty much nothing you could do with it now that you can't do some other way. Except one of the other things included in the Homebrew Starter Kit is a script for HANS that launches the eShop and lets you download old versions of software, presumably by altering the HTTP requests.
Now, there's really not much point to downloading old versions of software anymore – I think the main reason back in the day was to download exploitable versions of things like SwapDoodle and RPG Maker Player, and there are much better exploits available now, when they're needed at all. But I'm a little curious: does this still work?
I'm not really inclined to try this myself since I haven't messed with this since before 11.8 was released, which made big changes to the ticket system.
