Hacking does anyone know what could cause this to happen?

for some reason every so often i get a problem when i start usb loader
the screen just goes black and the remote turns off but it normally works again after i restart the wii

i have my wii uptodate with the latest homebrew channel and hacks & im using a western digital passport hard drive
