Not talking about the Jap release.

However, I'm guessing if the NTSC-J release works on other regions, then there's a high chance NTSC-U release might as well.

Well new protection is quite obvious, But im quite sure it will be the same on NTSC-J and NTSC-U so I think I will get the Japan one. And im quite sure it will be Multi2 like Melee.

why does everyone keep saying that there will be a new protection. It's all just speculation. There probably won't be any new updates to prevent chips from playing it. I mean, they tried with mario and failed so why would they bother again
