Does anyone else feel like the 3ds homebrew launcher needs a redesign?

The 3ds homebrew launcher is a straight clone (aesthetically) of the wii homebrew launcher so I feel like it should be redesigned to have more unique personality. Anyone else agree with me?

Don't really care what it looks like as I only spend a few seconds in it to load whatever app I need.

If you care about practicality, it would be better to just… have forwarders for .3dsx apps rather than having to open it. I don't enjoy using any homebrew channels or launchers for that reason.

I totally agree with you! It just seems really boring tbh.
feel free to do so, it's open source for a reason
Where? Is it with the Luma3DS source since it's part of that?

I don't think so - the Homebrew Channel was really influential in terms of homebrew launchers, which means that it makes sense that so many future homebrew launchers were aesthetically based off of it.

That being said - one cool potential Homebrew Launcher contribution would be theming - probably somewhat similar to how TWiLightMenu++ does it, having themes based on various menus and flashcarts... I'd probably work on it if I had the time and energy. shame that both of these things are hard to come by :ha:
