yes I know there are a lot of things in the works but I doubt any of them are gonna be AAA and anything other than a port with everything Cranked lower than a jail inmate. I recently won a Xbox one s at an arcade and as I was looking through the store I realized what a vibrant library it has. Some games I haven’t even heard of before. Then I looked at my switch. My prized gem and realized how much of a letdown it was. It has mobile hardware in it so I can’t set my expectations too high. I keep thinking to my self “what if they used all the cores and adjusted the fan curve in a system update?” “What if they had used the X2 instead of the aging X1””why are they not using its emulation capabilities?” All of these questions. Yes I know this a ecosystem that is very young and ecological succsesion has yet to take place. But with the disaster that was the Wii U I remain fearful that Nintendo won’t utilize the switch’s fullest potential. I mean I’m just ranting at this point but what do you all think?

I get what you're saying and I feel exactly the same. but.. I also own a xbox one which I use for aaa gaming, I see the switch as not a main console but uhm like a game boy advance, just for portable kind thing you know just like kicking it on the couch while the others watch tv.. I dont think nintendo can ever compete with current gen as they always seem to be a gen behind. The only real " quarm" I have is that the games are so expensive. And because of that reason it's really not seen that much action since xmas 2017 .

Nintendo has always catered more to the "kid-friendly" and "casual gamer" crowds. The Switch is no different, you're comparing a (albeit powerful) handheld to a full-fledged home console.

While Nintendo may not be making good use of emulation, there's certainly enough going on in the homebrew scene. I'm really happy just sticking with pFBA, pSNES, various other emulators that have been released, and Duke Nukem 3D, while I wait for a PSX or N64 emulator to be developed with audio support.

Almost everything in the Switch eShop seems so overpriced now, so I'm sticking with mostly homebrew until the prices come down.

I was really disappointed that the Wii U didn't live up to it's potential, I thought that adding the DS "dual-screen" concept to a home console was a great idea.

I have already sunk a lot of money into my switch and I don't want to do it all over again. and some of these games would be pretty cool to have on the switch as native titles. If the Xbox homebrew community could actually get their shit together and work on porting dolphin over to Xbox and make Wii games launchable from the dashboard then i might stick with Xbox for a good while

This is why I chose to wait to buy a switch for myself. I bought the Ps4 when it hardly had any games that I wanted to play. It collected dust for a few weeks.
