Does an app where you can transfer data from your smartphone to your 3DS exist?

    yup. Download ftdp off of titledb through fbi, and use any ftp app on android to send files to the 3ds. If you want a recommendation, es file explorer works the best for me.

    There are many, but I use turbo ftp. It works for my android and iPhone.

    Doesn't that require you to be connected to the same network, or at least make a hotspot on your phone?

    Unless you are forwarding ports, it requires you to be on the same network.

    I don't know.. good point

    Would be neat if we could get the 3DS to transfer files via the same way it would do local multiplayer, as in not requiring to be connected to a network.
