Doctor Lautrec Arrives On Your Nintendo 3DS This Summer

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, a new puzzle-based adventure game set for the new Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system.

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights takes place in 19th century Paris and revolves around a wily and aloof archaeologist named Jean-Pierre Lautrec. His love of history and unorthodox attitude keep him busy as a spelunker, searching for "living treasures" throughout Paris' underground. Upon stumbling on an old and mysterious map, Dr. Lautrec and his assistant, Sophie, traverse the peaks and valleys of old world Paris in search of hidden treasures and jewels that are believed to be those of Louis XIV, one of the most storied dynasties ever to rule.

Look at the dev. It's Konami, so it's not possible. He looks like a combination of Hatsworth and Layton IMO.

This game was originally announced for Japan so I'm pretty sure there's one.

This game has a similar art-style to Layton and the same character design as Layton(wtf, Konami?), but from the available screenshots, the gameplay looks nothing the same.

The game screens didn't catch my interest, hopefully it turns out to be different.

Well looks like Konami is hell bent on stealing the Layton franchise. In the video, the guy looks like Layton and the girl is supposed to be Luke. At least thats what I think.

The announcement of the game is old. It even appears in the software lineup.

What's new is the release "date".

And the game looks like Layton, has puzzles and everything but it also has battles and stuff.
