I would say no. For one, global economy is a complex thing. Now if you were to assume that every human being is dishonest and illegal then sure the ability to illegally obtain copyrighted material would destroy the system. But there is a vast majority of people who have no idea how to pirate and then there is a small minority of people with the intelligence to be illegal yet they are honest and legal (hence the intelligence, lol).
Another global example I could cite is the fact that the country of the United States pours in millions of dollars into drug research. Planning, making, testing on volunteers takes a lot of time/money/research. And at the end of the day -- sure -- it takes a few cents to manufacture the actual pill yet it is priced higher to compensate for the millions spend to GET TO THAT POINT. And now we get to the point: The bordering country of Mexico can also make these same FDA-approved pills for a few cents and with virtually zero red tape anyone can buy any drug they want. Point? Some Americans go to Mexico to buy cheap prescription drugs. Just "some," not all. Therefore the heavy lifters can continue their drug research in the US because most Americans buy the FDA-approved and manufactured medication legally -- even with the "SX Pro" of the cheap drug situation.
