Do you think the Switch will ever enter a "ban-safe state"?

Back then, if you did things like cheat online with your 3DS, you got it banned in a similar fashion to the Switch. But then Nintendo just stopped caring about the 3DS and stopped issuing bans for online services no matter what you did, and you were basically free to do what you want online.

Do you think the Switch will ever enter a similar state where you do not have to worry about bans anymore? Or did they improve their security enough to not allow for that anymore?

They'll stop caring when their shareholders stop caring. Likely once the Switch 2 is released.
They won't spend time or effort on something unless it makes them money.

You are acting like the bans are done by a person, man they are all automated no way in hell they would hire a staff to ban, nope automate that and have a part timer/casual to go over messages of false bans. Hence why ps3 are still getting ban so no it wont ease up and it wont end until eshop is gone and someone is able to make a knockoff eshop server without the banning code

No, I don't think the Switch will ever be "ban" safe. Just get an unmodified Switch and enjoy it for Online and use another for all other stuff.

It's that simple honestly.

Flagging is automated, but you never leave bans entirely up to an algorithm, because false positives can and do happen. That's rule #1 of banning. Every flagged console is likely manually reviewed.

Nobody is checking false bans after the fact, once you're banned, you're banned forever and Nintendo is not willing to do anything to help you. People have been falsely banned in the past and contacted support and been told exactly that. Even if that wasn't the case and they did actually unban people, it would still be bad PR if it was a frequent occurrence. Better to avoid the issue altogether.

I really doubt this. They got so much telemetry that they might know which can be automated banned.
Example connecting online with a NSP. No need for some Nintendo employee to pull the trigger when a system can do that for you.

I wouldnt be shocked if they had 2 levels. Definitive and suspicious. The latter being reviewed.

Something like that indeed. Switch on the way to be the most sold console ever. So a non-automated system would be nuts if it was manual.

Eventually? Sure, but if the rumors of the Switch 2 being backwards-comaptible end up being through, it will take a decade or so before Nintendo stops caring. Honestly just mod your Switch if bans are an issue to you.

True, but not every case is that clear cut.
Either way, somebody has to hit the ban button. Not that it couldn't be automatic on a random timer, but you know how it is in the business world, nothing happens without approval, which means boardroom meetings and paperwork. And Nintendo are especially bad when it comes to this, they don't trust anyone (or anything) other than their own people.
At some point, everybody left on the Switch team is moved to the Switch 2 and they won't spend a single man hour more on the Switch, because they've stopped all sales so there's no profit to be made anymore. It happens with every console generation.

i hacked my PS3 and went online with it. i don't play COD or any game that tracks serious game stuff. so i'm good. i just want to try a few games that the PS3 emulator can't play is my only reason i'm hacking it.
