To begin, honestly I know some games use unreal engine, but I don't know much about the engine besides some guy Cliff Bleszinski (Who I can't pronounce the name properly, and epic games and gears of war related talk. I don't really know so much about it as some others do nor did I really have interest in "game engines" But this specific one seem to be very popular among many developers, Inti creates the developers behind Gal Gun have used it to develop the game, which will be releasing for switch in march, meanwhile others still either use other such things or develop their own for specific games. From the games I owned that do feature unreal engine, I haven't seen much reason to be impressed but maybe is something I don't understand.

So I just was curious if anyone here think Nintendo would ever use it to develop a game or just ignore it? My impression of the unreal engine hasn't been high, but one of the games I seen that do have it that impressed me a lot was Guilty Gear Xrd. A game on ps3/ps4 and Steam that uses this Unreal engine 3, if you never seen it before, is a unique visually artistic game that has 3D rendered models that look like 2D anime cel-shade. (If this is inaccurate description, sorry it has been long since I played it) Basically it looks like the new Dragonball Fighter Z game everyone been hearing about. But other games I have doesn't seem as impressive. So what do you guys think?

Iirc that new Yoshi game is being made with unreal engine 4. I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but iirc at the end of the Yoshi trailer the unreal engine logo shows up.

Well that puts that question to rest :P

And before I saw your response I was legit wondering if Ninty would do it or not. Funny thing is I've seen this trailer before and had totally forgotten about it using U4.
