Yeah they didn't lie, yeah they didn't give a release date, BUT they are using tricky strategy... Why do you even think that they were sending so many emails before Christmas? Because they knew that cause of holidays most people were gonna buy their stuff at that period, so then they were all out replying and saying how around the corner their support was, locking us into buying their product. You think that if they didn't show the video of the n3ds xl so many guys would buy their product and not a sky3ds that it was running fine on the n3ds since launch? Now that they know that most of the market has bought their product they don't even care... Also yes they didn't lie that the support was around Christmas only for old 3ds but they didn't clear this out before hand... They just showed a video of a new 3ds xl running their exploit and then they were all out on how support was just around the corner... If you think this is ethical and fair then keep up your gateway bubble!

Let's look at this from a logical perspective guys:

Why would GW take so long to release the update for N3DS? Well, technically speaking, this isn't the longest time apparently, with the wait for multirom being around 4 months (I think?), and thus far it has only been about a month and we've gotten a couple of emails from them then, didn't we?

And whenever coding is concerned, I'm pretty sure many bugs and glitches of the sort would pop up and cause problems. It's not as if everything can be done in a day, and furthermore, we aren't sure if the GW Team are actually on this full-time, and they could be a bunch of hobbyists who have the understanding to make a flashcart and have other life matters to deal with.

Either way, there isn't much we can do about this situation, but to be patient. And before you guys go anti-fanboy or fanboy on me, remember that even games get delayed without much reasoning why, as was the case with IA/VT which was delayed for nearly a year from it's supposed release date before anything more was mentioned about it.

And if you honestly cannot wait, there are a variety of other things you can do, like buying Sky/QQ3DS to play on your N3DS, getting a hobby, life, etc. It's not as if you urgently NEED it now. I can understand about being impatient, heck most of us here do. It sucks having something that you paid about a hundred bucks not being able to work at the time.

But hold strong everyone, just hang on to this hope for a little while longer. After all, what can we do, HONESTLY, that can actually get the update out faster, considering that no email replies have been recorded as of late - anything new about this?- and that returning your GWs en masse might most probably not do much.

Err..... sorry if that sounded like a rant, I really didn't intended it to be so.

its a flashcard business, the point is everyone else was already awake (ok some people where), you seem to of only just woke up to the reality that flash card companies are in it for the money and would prefer to use questionable tactics to seize enough of the marker while they work rather than say "oh yeah we are months away from release"

Why would they abandon ship when even without the N3DS update they still have a working card that sells ?

Let's look at the facts and not conjecture :

1)They said that they will release the support for N3DS.
2)They showed a video of GW working on N3DS.
3)SonyUSA posted a "guide" how to install this exploit on N3DS (before she realized that Ultra update didn't include N3DS support), and it was confirmed to be real from a private beta.
4)They have never yet gone back on their word.
5)And finally, there have been updates before that people waited for months, it's not new.

Also if you haven't seen the news, it seems like today the Chinese new year holidays are finally over, yes we don't know for sure if they're Chinese, but I assume at least some of them are.

They could've at least informed us. A simple - "We're taking a break guys but don't worry, we'll be back asap and get cracking on that N3DS update."

At least that way, they'll still have our faith and people won't be buying Sky3DS.

Lets all just give up on GW and move on to other flash cards that are available or soon will be available. Lets look forward to another Sky3ds card and the soon to be rumored released DSTWOPLUS. IF you guys remember what SonyUSA said & she is the closest person to the Gateway team that we know of,(garyopa is just the tea boy), she said & you guys can search the long N3DS thread for her comment,she said if N3DS update is not released within one day of the US N3DS launch then I WOULD BE WORRIED. now if a gateway team member says such a thing then how am i supposed to VOTE to this thread ? ok lets ignore everything & just continue be patient because we somehow know the update is coming SOON.
