I don't like odd numbers except 5 and 7 for whatever reason, but on the volume control I don't really care as long as it sounds good to my ear. :P

I have this weird thing for always trying to keep an even number of files, or a multiple of 5 or something that ends with 7 in each folder on my PC, though.

I don't want any of those 1's, 3's or 9's in there. Yeah, I'm strange like that.

But I never actually pay attention to the numbers and videos (and I imagine TV shows) vary dramatically in volume leaving me to sort things myself (or hope my normalisation gear works).

Haha, that TV is quite a sight to behold. Looks a bit like a microwave. Haven't seen one with turn knobs in a long time...

I don't care if it's even or odd but I usually increment it by 2 because there's a decent volume difference in increments of 2 (my TV goes up to 100), it usually ends up being even numbers.
I just put it at the lowest volume where I can hear everything clearly.

So talking about "decent difference in increments", I noticed something stupid about my TV.
You know that the ear response to sound volume is logarithmic, right?

So in order to increase the perceived volume uniformly, you must increase it exponentially, so that the output and response curves cancel out resulting in a perceived linear increase.

Well, lately I have noticed that when the volume is in the low range (let's say 0-30) each increase is noticeable... but then the rest of it (30-100) makes almost no difference in perception on my TV.... Well, someone fucked up here I guess. (also quite annoying)

I rarely if ever do I turn on my TV.
say, it's been over a year and a half since I last booted it up.Last time I did only to confirm whether my switch dock works or not.
But about the volume you might ask..I don't care much to be frank. For as long as it's not too loud or disturbing it's fine for me.

LOL So my sound bar ideal volume, depending on the show, is like between 12-15 level. Couple years ago I stopped leaving it on 13, even when that's the ideal level! Has to be 12 or 14, and often enough 12 is too low and 14 is too high. Is this considered 'first world problems?'

Shit do people even set ther contrast and brightness levels on odd or even
I would say I hope people set their colours, contrast and whatnot to reflect actual colours but having been to many houses and having been asked before to essentially detune a TV to give everybody sunburn...
