Do you look at reviews before buying a flashcart?

I read here before getting my M3 and GBAtemp was right.

I always read multiple reviews of different sites, first GBATemp.net, then NDSS.nl, then Romnet.co.uk and I google usually too

I just want to make sure I dont buy any crap

Respect for the reviewers of all sites, I dont think I would have so much time and interest to write long reviews!

I also read many reviews, customer submitted ones are usually great since they always give those minor annoyances when dealing with electronics

When you read official reviews, everything is always tested and set up first, that takes the real world expectation away. I dont like that

I voted "Yes, and I wouldn't consider buying one without a review". There is one exception: I bought the M3 Lite + Passcard 3 (my first flashcart) because someone said it was good, and it was the only one I could find

But I certainly look at reviews. And when they're not there, the flashcart can't be good either

Reviews are important, so yeah.

Most of the time I read forums though, can't beat the experience a ton of users have with the product before buying it yourself. That's how I got my R4.

Yeah i read tons of reviews and forums, before i decided to get the CycloDS Evolution about 5 weeks ago.

And so far the Evolution is awesome.

Who buys anything blindly? I wish I could have that type of money just to throw around/away. I heard about the DS-X thanks to the Hak5 webcast, then I looked for reviews, heard great things, and purchased it. Not long after the other Slot-1 devices (R4DS, CycloEvo) were announced and promptly released, leaving me thinking that I got screwed. But at the time, yes I did research, although now when looking for my replacement flash cart, I am waiting to see how long support goes for the two previously mentioned carts to see which is worthy of my next purchase.

I didnt look at any reviews, My friend said he was buying an M3, told me what it was so i got one too, and i dont regret it at all
