I sometimes hate it when my teacher makes me log every time I read. What about the people on gbatemp.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "logging your reading"? Like keeping a brief summary of what you've read, or making a list with the titles you've read so far? If the first one, I do it, most of the time. Everyone who's studying at the university will know that, given all that amount of reading assignments and books we have each year, keeping notes on the most important points of what you've read is essencial [IMG]

PS: I didn't vote, though [IMG]

If you mean keeping a list of books I've read so far, then no. I wish I did though since until 2 years ago I read a hellova lotta books but I can't remember alot of the titles, just bits and bobs of several plots [IMG]

No. Last year I had to do 2 summaries of what I read a day, but this year all that matters is that we read 16 150+ page (just get a book with 1 word a page...) books that are on the Accelerated Reader list, the crappy program that is only there to tell if we actually read the book.

On my elementally school i used too... And on middle school, it was optional, if you did, extra points/scores. But i didnt feel like doing it, and in the end, it wouldnt of helped as much, a 88 average(whole thing) and if i get an extra 1 point, not much of a difference.

Bloody hell, you mean writing down the title of the book and how many pages you've read each night? We stopped doing that at school when we were 7! [IMG] It was what they gave the really little kiddies until we were old enough to do actual homework.

In secondary school we were given a "recommended reading list", you were supposed to read 10 books off it a year but they never bothered following up on it (and definitely didn't make us write anything down).

If you mean logging the books you've read and/or the pages, no.

If you mean making summaries, getting the characters' personalities and stuff like that, then well unfortunately my stupid teaches makes us do it for ever book we read at school, not at home.

In primary school, we did it until juniors i think.

In secondary school we for the first two? years were given a little booklet in which you were supposed to write reviews of books you liked, and if you wrote more than 5 you get a commendation of merit but only about 10 people did it.

    lmao all no's

    I never bothered.
I was a fast reader so I usually finished the books in one go for english.
This was back when I was in a dutch school.

For regular dutch books I was supposed to but my teacher never bothered to enforce that rule on me since I was such a bookworm back then. When I was a 6th year in elementary school I even got to help 3rd year kids as a sort of mentor program.

    Over there.
Did it in elementary school, only cuz I had to. Now, I take like months to read a book. When I was logging it, I read like 3 or 4 a month. [IMG]
