    where I'm from
Yup, the one with sillicon pad inside so it's heavyier than before --not LITE anymore-- but very protective I think.

I have a Blue DS Lite with crappy hinges that moves like 0.5 inches when you move it, but i have a crystal case to protect it and it supports the hinges so it wont move [IMG]

Do you also mean those things you can put over the screens to protect them?

Among the things I like about my DS is the shape, the size and the gloss on it.
ANY case/protector defeat the case of having such a slick peace of hardware.
Most cases/protectors are bulky and ugly, and make the DS much bigger than it is and in most cases it totally unnecessary ( unless like my nephew you are 7 y.o. and drop it all the time ).
What I'm afraid of is scratches, when for example I carry my DS somewhere and other objects may touch it.
So what I did I took one of my finest and thin socks (no kidding!!) and cut it and saw it nicely as a protective glove.
It does a great job at avoiding scratches, and at the same time it barely makes my DS any thicker than it is [IMG].

I just have one of the £2.50 crystal cases from DealEx - it scuffs up pretty quick, and it has a couple of cracks - but better that than my beloved Cobalt DS :3 (I have one purely for showing-off points since they don't retail in the UK). It doesn't make it that heavier IMO (although I've never had one with the silicone inlay - I can imagine that is a little heavier.

No, far too bulky and ugly. I do have one of the zelda gold aluminium cases, but more for collections sake than to actually use.

I also have a few pokemon soft cases, again more for collection (they were exceptionally cheap).

My DS Lite wears armour (actual armour) when in transit. It's a case that stores other carts and a spare stylus. If it gets dropped or in some way attacked, the case gets it not the DS.

When I am actually playing on my DS though, it's naked. I don't need anything interfering with holding the unit and using the controls. I have contemplated getting a theme skin for it though.

nope, why would it need one, its clamshell devices are designed to not need them

For me, The protective case is not strong enough, so if I dropped my ds, The case and the ds could break
    My opinion.
    No Flaming.

I'm pretty much protective with all my stuff, so I have protective case on, I think it's scratch-safe that way, and it also gives me chance of customizing my NDS!

I have that clear case that fits right over your ds, but I took the top part off so I could put a Mario plate on it.
