Do you guys have a lazy way to fix things?

I was wondering if you guys had a moment to fix things the lazy way, then instead to buy the product in your local stores. For example, I used this black suction thing and a metal bar that was used in a screwdriver set to plug the kitchen sink so water doesn't go down when I'm doing the dishes

Most of my electronics I repair with parts from other electronics. I rarely buy anything, I just keep older parts when I do repairs and reuse them.

It is said that most people's personal approach to things is the exact opposite of their job (most mechanics drive junk cars, most chefs probably order pizza at the end of the day, personal trainers are usually incredibly lazy eating slobs...) and as I fix most things that are not biology my personal approach to my own things is not so different.

When the end of a wire doesn't work how it's suppose to I bend it a certain way until it works until I get a new one.

Also had a copy of pokemon gold with a dead battery. It wouldnt keep the save file so I replaced it with my watches battery. That battery also failed after 20 minutes into the game.

On my ps3, plastic hindge for holding ribbon cable snapes, duck tape! When in doubt, duck it!

I can understand gardenhose fixes for engines and gaffertape to temporarily mend something, but permanent solutions they're not.

Tape, paint, cleaning it, buying something to replace it or just paying someone to replace it. I'm generally lazy when it comes to repairs...I do enough of that at work.
