I'm 24 and honestly it doesn't fit me, if I had to pick an age I'd say 18-19 or so because I look around this age and I feel younger than my age has me believe.

Oh well can't do anything about it anyway, not that I'd want to change 'cause I couldn't careless of it.

Same for me... 23 over here...

I feel like I have made the biggest advancement - personality wise this year.

And that at most I might feel 19.

I think this is partially due to our screwed society.
People are completly for themselves. No doubt that will hinder development.

Doesn't help that I even look younger than I am... (not that looks matter at all...)

    I forgot
God no, but at the opposite spectrum of the first 2 posts.

I'm 19, but I feel fucking 59 due to my multiple physical injuries and various responsibilities (both financial and otherwise) that apparently no one else I know personally has. While I live at home, I still pay my share of the electric bill, I pay half of our internet bills, I pay for my own food, I pay for just about every entertainment-related service I use, I pay my phone bill, and my car insurance/gas/maintenance etc. I'll be moving out sometime in the next few months hopefully, so I'll also have that shit to worry about as well.

I'm also told I look in my mid-20's whenever I can't be assed to shave (like now). I remember once when I was a sophomore in highschool I went to get my hair cut and the lady cutting it thought I was a sophomore in college

It has been noted by many psychology and advertising types that people quite often aspire to be 19 again. I am drawn to wonder how it might differer for places that restrict things until people are 21 or worse.

As for me... an alarming number of my similarly aged associates are spawning and doing the long term relationship bit and I am not quite sure what that means.
There is the following as well

I am not sure I agree with much of that but she raises some interesting points along the way.

I still function as well as I ever did, I probably should have used more hearing protection but without bionic ears I was never going to do well there. Vehicle insurance prices are cheaper, I blend in many more places and generally have an easier time of things. You can poke being 19 again then and I guess that means age is mostly irrelevant for me or I am comfortable, as I have pretty much always been comfortable I lean towards the former.

It should probably be noted that I avoid any and all responsibility that I can and aim for break even, such a thing comes with the perk of a lot of free time.

Anyway now I have made myself probably even more unemployable to one doing a basic background search I will leave it at that.

Nope I'm 17, and I feel way younger like a 13 year old. I feel like this because I'm treated like a kid at times, not because the way I act, but because I look way younger. There really isn't no problem, because I love it though, hopefully I might be the next Pharell lol.

You're 24 but feel like your 18, that's barely and age difference.

you will feel your age only when your health starts to deteriorate.

Ugggh, I turn 21 in a month, but I feel like I'm in my forties because my back feels like ass 90% of the time from a martial arts injury. Can't do a lot of athletic stuff anymore, only in small doses. That, combined with study stress, research, work, and a bunch of other extracurriculars makes for one busy Ryu. Also, sleeping for eight hours or week, sometimes less, does great shit for the health.

I'm 32 and feel like 32 - and grateful. Wouldn’t want to be 19 again for all the riches in the world (ok... maybe for all the riches in the world - but that's my final offer)!

I feel like I'm 60 just by thinking to find tons of "I'm 12 but I feel like 20 because I'm way too smart for my dumb generation!" kind of posts.

I'm 16 right now, and honestly I don't feel like I should be. I feel like I'm completely unprepared for everything that's starting to come into my life at my age, like learning to drive, getting a job, basically starting to support myself. I don't even have a clue as to what I want to major in or what college I want to go to, and while all of my friends are starting to get serious about their futures, picking AP classes or dual credits, working jobs over the summer, I'm kind of just drifting through high school without any idea of what I should be doing.

I'm 20 and it's whatever. I barely even think about my age. Physically, I don't think I look as much like a 16 year old anymore, but that's a tough call. My genetics struck a fountain of youth there or something. Mentally, I'm a cynical son of a bitch that has hated everything since I was a teen, so nothing has really changed there to make me think I feel older or younger. Financially, I have taken on more responsibility, paying my share of rent and other bills. I also have to worry about paying my college tuition and organizing around my parent's inability to offer any aid whatsoever, which has made me feel a smidgen older, I guess. With that in mind, I also haven't lived with my parents for several years, which has helped alleviate any potential early onset arrested development since I've known my only chance of finally being in a situation I want to be in is to get there on my own. I also have to deal with the state to handle my own insurance and other needs, which is a huge pain in the ass and something I don't wish on anybody my age.

I would guess feeling a certain age is mostly a matter of self sufficiency. Having a job, going to college primarily on my own support, and otherwise primarily supporting myself, I'd say I'm at around where I should be at 20. Those of you who feel younger than you are I'm guessing still live at home and/or are otherwise not primarily responsible for supporting yourselves. If you do bear these burdens and still somehow don't feel that you're around the age that would be making these decisions, I would guess feeling younger is more a desire than an actual feeling, wanting to cling to youth over facing the realization that you've entered adulthood and it damn well isn't going anywhere.

Trust me, I took one semester of psychology in college to get my social science credits; I know what I'm talking about.

It's hard to say, I'm 23 and I personally feel like I do and say things reserved for older people. I have a lot of dreams and goals that seem younger than I really am, but at the same time I pursue them with a wizened patience. Personally, I feel older in many ways, but younger in just as many areas. I definitely don't feel 23.
