Yes, because even if I don't have the case or manual, it's still the game that matters to me.
I count it as my Wii game collection that i "bought". I have two collections.
i have 0 collection if you only count original (even sold my wii sports on ebay), but i have 276 'collections'.
Obviously I count them as part of my collection. Where would pirates be if they didn't count them. It's the game.
"Don't judge a book by its cover."
No. I also don't call a pirated game a backup either seeing as it's not actually a backup.
Backups are just used in the legal sense.
Like who in the world actually makes "backups".
I'd see the reason for referring to them as that on other sites where piracy isn't condoned and it's necessary to be ambiguous about it but not on here so much.
No, I use backups to test games. Just because a game gets a good review doesn't necessarily mean it's a game I'll enjoy. If I really like the game I'll buy it.
I try to do this with everything I download (music, games, movies) athough I must admit I do pirate DS games...
Hell no, pirate games are nothing to collect to me. I mostly delete a game once I buy it. I don't buy every game I enjoy, just the ones I can see playing again.
With House of the Dead: Overkill I've played the pirate, a retail disc and on the USB loader and it runs so much better on the USB Loader. Even the retail version of that game has speed glitches.
No i dont... i down them to test and play them... if i enjoy them ill buy a copy and i shelf it...99% of the games i have pirated i intend to buy... i just dont think most are worth 60 bucks... some are most arnt
honestly i dont use backups if i own the real disk... it gets deleted... unless i notice a bid difference in game play...
I dont count the games I pirate as part of my collection. If someone asks me how many Wii or DS games I own I say none, but I have all of them.
I'm assuming that's an exaggeration.
Exactly as I do.
I also pirate some games that are somewhat good but not worthy of my money.
The best thing of 'backups' is to test games that have mixed reviews and not a single demo. (or maybe even lots of negative reviews but you'd like at least to try it)
Also to be able to play the games at(or before) launch. I live in Brazil, so the fastest I can get a new game is 3 days, and it costs alot for that.
A backup collection is a fool's collection.
If a game is worthy of mine, it will be bought.
No, because if I did I would have every game I own twice in my collection. I have yet to dump a game I rented or don't own.
Crap, I just realized I voted yes.
I voted yes because if its a back up or a retail disc it's still the same game, and technically if it's a real backup then you own the original.
Hellz yeah I consider my backups a part of my collection! I only have one "original" and that's Wii Sports. Then again I also pretty up my backups with disc labels, and printed out DVD case slips and when I get more Ink I'll be printing out the instruction manuals. What can I say? I like to have my stuff looking pretty. On a slightly off note, has anyone noticed that the two new Sega games (Conduit and Lets Tap) have fully colored disc, compared to the traditional Wii 2 or 3 toned artstyle.
Isn't adding layers (i.e. labels, stickers) to your DVD for the Wii bad? Black ink is safest (or ink in general).
That's why my disks are plain with just black ink.
Just like the other guy in this thread I own no games but I have all of them (for DS, the majority for Wii).
Also I don't count them because that would be cheating
