The question is do you consider yourself an otaku, an otaku is a person with obsessive interests that can be but are not limited to anime, manga, and video games.

hm, tough question, I watch heaps of anime at a time and play games all at a time, but then I won't watch anime or play games for a long while but then I watch anime or play games for hours straight, lol I might be wrong but that's why I think I'm in the middle.

If you actually read the Wikipedia article you took the definition from, you'd notice that the English meaning and Japanese meaning differ, as well as the negative connotations.

I'm most definitely an otaku. Love every bit of it. Could care less about any negativity behind it.

are you passionate about anime, manga, and games all the time? and have to will to play any time you can? your passion for gaming and manga must be strong. you cant just call yourself an otaku just because you simply "like" gaming, manga, and anime.

(you can already tell what I am.)

EDIT: I wonder what prowly would say [IMG]
