This would even be useful for CFW users if I could somehow apply it to CIAs. Should working seeing as home menu titles launch in a similar way to carts (entirely speculation, I don't actually know how it works, but I know you can directly launch carts and installed titles from title manager/devmenu/fbi). Patching on the fly is more convenient than rebuilding 2GB CIAs, copying them to my SD card, and installing them. This process takes at least an hour to complete.

EDIT: R5 works with eShop games (it also does screenshots and 804MHz + L2 like NTR CFW), which means there's a 99% chance these ROM hacks will too.

If rom hacking only works with carts I'm going to hate myself for getting pokemon as an eshop title.

I tend to prefer eshop games for multiplayer because if you don't need to lug the carts on the off chance somebody challenges you to a battle of honor.

EDIT: Can anybody who's messed with pokemon XY/ORAS editing confirm whether or not you can mess with the type chart?
