PS1/2 Do I need magic keys or can I use the swap cover?

the description shows my PS2 model. I am just curious if I would still be able to run the swap disks with the flip cover instead of installing new pieces. Does anyone know?

Forget Swap Magic, just use FreeMCBoot. It's even easier to install if you have a Swap Magic disk.

Unfortunately I don't have the swap magic disk. The only third party PS2 disc I have is a Gameshark V1.3

If Gameshark lets you boot ELF files from a USB stick, then yes it's possible.
