Hello there, I recently saw that MHG does save to a SD making my powersve useless. I have seen a couple save editors around the web but do I need another device or can I get my saves from my SD card or can I load CFW? Really hope someone can help me out, thank you and have a wonderful day!

you can't....
your firmware is 11.0

you can try save manager, but you cant get into homebrew launcher:) (even if you can, extdata dump may not possible on 11.0)
What if I put my SD into my old 3DS (with a micro SD SD adapter) which is 10.5?

I will forgive your blindness:)

the best you can do.
hack your 10.5 o3ds, do a fully setup.
system transfer your 11.0 to the o3ds. if the 11.0 is n3ds, boom you are fked....

to hack 10.5 o3ds, follow this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

basic sense... why do you think a gaming console can simply share the files on their storage device with others?
i.e do you expect copy and paste your friends computer OS files can let you have a real copy?

Thanks for the answer, I have decrypted game files from Borderlands before so I understand why companies do that sort of thing, I just dont get why its any different on 3DS. That I cant take my save files onto my computer and use a program to decrypt them and whatever. And the way you answered was were I got that impression, keeping stuff short and rude, barely explain stuff and expect that i know what you are saying

each 3ds has their own unique id. (unless you did some trick, which only possible after you hack it...)

all the installed and saved files are encrypted ( console unique)
