Do I give off an aura of “please trauma dump all over me”?

Direct, factual and in friendly tone.

Any kind of "polite" disguise and indirect hint is an obvious sign of disrespect: The person you are talking to isn't worthy of getting a clear statement.

As hard as it is to get a rebuff, it is much better to make things clear. It is honest.

Roll your eyes to the back of your head, tilt your head back, start yawing and at the same time say, "oh really how interesting" in a tone that tells them that you're not interested. It always works for me and I generally never see or hear from those moral sponges ever again.

I can't stand how talking about your job is like the go-to conversation when you just meet someone or haven't seen them for a long time. My job is a source of income it is not my life.

Say we met an hour ago and I’m starting to ramble about how my job is shit and my mom is a cunt, how would you tell me to shut the fuck up?
Is it that hard?

"I can't help you with that. I don't know either you or your situation and honestly am not interested in this."

As plain text devoid of any gestures, facial expression and tone of the voice it looks colder and more unfriendly than it should.

A clear way of establishing a border. You can't get around somebody feeling hurt if you distance yourself. But it is your, and anybody's, right to do that.

If you don't know them tell them to fuck off!!

You can either be a good samaritan or a dick about it. Some people may need a stranger just to listen but we all have to remember we all got shit goin on, that's why we have friends. And you can definitely tell the difference between a genuine person in need and an attention seeker or even just one of those people that talk to fucking anybody and everybody!

Society has far too much people pleasing going on. If you can't be arsed, just say. Who cares what they think, you don't know them.

@Veho, In the end, portable emulation handhelds are the exact same thing.

    Mostly in today's age.

    Wut.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
The hardware is not much different, in my opinion. It can emulate just about anything without needing a CPU upgrade, aside from a re-design.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Retro handhelds aren't really hiding the fact they're just phones with a D-pad. It's all the same SOC, just with different applications.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Exactly. That's what I'm at least trying to point out.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the high-end SOCs are still expensive so they tend to use older stuff, leftover stock and so on.

So KTR is asking, will you guys spring for the Snapdragon,
or should we get some older cheaper chipset.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
They probably thought to themselves that the latter would be the better option. Not only to make them easily affordable to produce and buy, but to retain the same performance to competitors.

After all, SoC is the same ones used in Android phones that were made for gaming.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gen2 is obsolete and probably can get bulk for cheap

In the same way that a Raspberry Pi costs 30 dollars but a project involving a RPi costs at least $100, CPUs are cheap, everything else is a bitch.

3d printing and repurposed screens got cheap so we get neat little devices out of last year's tech it's still a neat way to recycle
