Do GBA games usually run a bit laggy with the EZ4?

Not by much though. I have a EZ4 Lite and a couple of my games are laggy. This only happened after I flashed my DS Lite and used the NDS loader. Before, when I used the GBA Loader, the games ran perfect. Then I flashed my DSL and a few of them ran slower (Mario Power Tennis, Megamman BN 6, etc) Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to fix it? Like I said, its not that big of a problem, just a small drop in framerate. Thanks.

Others have reported that this is a bug w/ the NDS loader, but games work fine with the GBA loader. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Yes I noticed it too. I think it is more of a 'jerkiness' than slowdown, especially noticable on scrolling platformers like 'Super Mario World' ect.

As you said in GBA mode it's fine (hold 'select' at boot up to get gba mode with flashme.. just in case you didn't know [IMG] )

Yeah, I guess I'll just use the GBA Loader when I want to play GBA games. Do you know if they will fix this in the next NDS Loader update?

    I doubt it. :'(

The save time in GBA mode is really annoying too.

Is the slowdown only a problem for GBA games? Or also some DS games slow down?

Some DS games also slow down in places a little bit, because of the speed the EZ4 interfaces with the DS and the speed of your SD card.
GBA games shouldn't slow down at all though, that's the whole point of having internal memory, so it's obviously some sort of software glitch if they slow down when using the NDS loader - personally, I haven't noticed any GBA slowdown ever with my EZ4.

I must have an older revision or a duff one [IMG]

I cannot miss that GBA games don't run as well when launched from the DS menu. Some GBA games won't even launch and black screen after loading from the DS mode but will run fine in GBA mode.
