    OMG!!!!

"Chaos and Cosmos return for another battle with Final Fantasy heroes and villains doing the fighting. Kain from Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy XIII alum Lightning are newcomers to Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy.

Kain attacks Final Fantasy IV paladin Cecil with Gungnir in one of the screenshots. The other shows Lightning on the offense in a bout with Garland from the original Final Fantasy. Guess that confirms those two as returning characters in Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy.

Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy won’t be out on PSP until next year, but Square Enix is bringing a playable build to Tokyo Game Show."

I'm quite curious about the gauges at the bottom below the health...

This will be huge but I hate Final Fantasy. Love the PSP though. It's really nice to see it continue to get Triple-A titles. Graphics and visuals look great, and I'm sure the gameplay will be spot on. Almost makes me want to play it, but then again, it is Final Fantasy. I hate Final Fantasy. And the modern Final Fantasy games turned an entire generation of kids into... Uh, I forgot what I was going to say.

I gotta say that bottom screen shot looks too pretty for a PSP game....

    It's a video cut-scene.

So close and yet so far away.
I heard that Dissidia had a great flaw, you had to grind by an insane amount to unlock things. Do you think they fixed/will fix that in this one?

Insane amount if you don't realize that multipliers don't stack.

So, you have 2xExp from Special Day, 2xExp from Chocobo, +140% base exp from the Chocobo feathers, that's barely 9.6 times the Regular experience. (and I'm forgetting most of the bonuses)

And then you have to simply max out your bravery with an easy-to-get summon (Magic Pot) and OHKO a level 100 enemy as a level 1 character. Bam, if you've prepared to the max, your character is now level 100 in one hit. And if you haven't, you can reach mid 30s with the easier bonuses.

So, no, grinding is not a flaw in Dissidia, due to how easily you can bypass it.
And the AP grinding is even easier considering how many more bonuses to that you can get.

Am I the only person who thinks of this when he sees the game title?

    OH FUCKING YES!!!!

I love the original Dissidia. I've always been a fan of the FF series but was starting to tire of the old 'stand still until its your turn to hit something' setup which FF13 totally failed to sort out when BAM! Dissidia. Leaping around, running along the walls, throwing fireballs at people then smacking them upside the head with a sword the size of a small van. Good times. All the best characters, great gameplay, decent enough story, plenty to unlock, great game all round.

And now there's a sequel. Excuse me while I change my pants, all the excitement was a bit too much...

I feel like Square is wasting time and money putting effort into this one. The PSP doesn't sell anywhere except in Japan, and piracy has pretty much killed software sales. Wouldn't developing this for the 3DS, which will sell like hotcakes, be a better investment?

If piracy had killed the software sales of FF Dissidia, why would they be making a 2nd game?
Obviously because a lot of copies were sold.
