    Hey guys,

    I've got 2 vids of me working on something in lego for school (one sideview and one top-down) I want to display them next to eachother in one video, I only have the crappy windows movie maker so I'm guessing I'll need an additional video editting program. This is the only advancedfeature I need which Movie Maker does not have, aside from that it's good enough for what I need ^^.

    Any suggestions?

    quite sure there is a way to pull this off in windows movie maker, but if no, then use Video Vegas!

    Program is free. You write scripts and then feed them to your encoder (if you do not want to do that then virtualdub will happily accept it: http://www.virtualdub.org/ )

    If you want them stacked vertically then
    stackvertical(a,b)

    for horizontal
    stackhorizontal(a,b)

    Script will look something like
    Code:
    a=directshowsource("videotop.avi")
    b=directshowsource("videobottom.avi")
    stackhorizontal(a,b)
    Naturally resolutions will have to match but there are many high quality resizing filters inbuilt and even better ones as external (inbuilt will happily do 2 times upscale for my eyes before you really have to worry) or you can use the "addborders" function.
