Hacking disk channel

sorry for the double post forgot to put the link to the guide

can some one confirm that if i follow the guide below i will be able to play back up games on my wii from the disk channel am new to all of this softmoding have done 4.1 but a bit unsure of 4.2 and if you are able to play games from disk channel with this guide what part of this guide makes that possible HELP

Modify any Wii 4.2 & below, aka the simplistic mod

fyi, some new wii's with the new D3-2 chipset cannot play backup disks no matter what, so look into usb loaders if u fall into this group

only thing that allows playing backups through the disk channel is cioscorp, version 3.4 doesn't work with firmware 4.2. cioscorp 3.5 comes out on halloween, this is supposed to work on firmware 4.2. However, cioscorp can be dangerous if u dont have bootmii as boot2, I recommend against it, instead i would advise getting a backup loader app/channel like neogamma

OK thanks for the info any ideas on a dummy guide to be able to play back ups using back up launcher for 4.2 and how will i now if my wii fall into the category you mentioned

u wont know until u try, I have a guide i should be publishing within a week or so. You can wait for that if u want, but xzxero's simplistic mod is also good
