So I'm having this terribly annoying problem with Disgaea Hour of Darkness.
I'm playing a level, all is fine untill the sound stops playing - this would be OK really but after I finish it and go ANYWHERE that requires the "now loading" screen, the game freezes.
This happens more than often and is quite pissing me off.
This happens with every ISO and every burn I had.
Does anyone else have it, or is it just my already half dead PS2?
My PS2 is PAL with an unknown modchip, the ISO is NTSC, so might this be the problem?

    Currently trying to get it.
And the problem might be the chip really, it's unknown since I chipped it a few years ago.
Ok so, I got the PAL ISO, and since it can be fitted on a CD, I burned it on one.
I put it in my PS2 and it shows the Playstation 2 logo, then the screen goes black and nothing happend.
I checked the ISO and it's working on the PS2 emulator.

I donĀ“t know if it is THAT Disgaea, but there was a Disgaea release that was fucked up:

The original game is a DVD9 and the group released as a DVD5 iso. The DVD5 iso game would run until a certain point in the game, and then, freezes.

If that's your case, you need the DVD9 version or the 2x DVD5 version, released after a lot of player got frustraded.

    o-O
    A Disgaea game on DVD9?
That sounds.. weird, as the game isn't packed with things and has great graphics.
    Maybe Cursed Memories?

UH...I'm almost pretty sure Hour of Darkness was not a DVD9. In fact, I think it was one of the few games that was released on a CD, that's right not even a DVD.

I checked my original ... it's only just big enough to need a DVD5.
