    UPDATE: Click here!

Recently, Dengeki PlayStation listed comments from over 100 developers that asked about the status of their games. The one that most stuck out was NIS own comment which didn't really seem optimistic at all. Here is what Shinkawa Sohei of Nippon Icchi had to say:

They need 150k to net a profit. However, it seems very unlikely with PS4 only having two games reaching that in Japan (Knack, which was bundled and MGS: Ground Zeroes), PS4 being somewhat of a flop in Japan, no Disgaea has ever reached 150k in sales, the fact that the game is exclusive to PS4, and also the fact that it releases the same day as Bloodborne which has a lot of hype behind it. I wish NIS the best of luck.

Why release the two games the same day? That's setting themselves up for failure, so if they fall, it's entirely their own fault. :gba:

"If this game doesn't sell well we are finished!"

"Well lets make sure to release it on only one system with a relatively small userbase then!"

    "Genius!"

I don't even think delaying it will save them. Should have been released on a handheld but apparently that couldn't happen.

I don't think NIS decides when to release Bloodborne at all.

They should have control over one game's release date. All they have to do is push it back two weeks, and they will get sales without the other game overshadowing it. Sheesh.

Umm so they made game sony exclusive without getting $$ from sony ? Ahh the beauty of natural selection. Too bad because of management nationalistic idiocy nis might die.

/agreed disgaea series just ain't fit for a proper console, however it is great fit for handhelds

How come Nipponichi makes Sony exclusive games nearly all the time?

Do they have a contract with Sony or something or are they just Sony fanboys?

That would really suck if this company died out. Disgaea 5 would probably sell better on a vita though.

Oh no! Where can we get our set of identical SRPGs from now!

Nothing will be missed if they go under.

You're telling me that if you make bad business decisions, you might not stay in business?

    What a revolutionary concept.

If NIS is gone, NISA will most likely go too. Danganronpa will probably be picked up by someone else though.

Releasing on the Wii U won't help. And on the Xbox One.....releasing on that will be just asking for low sales in Japan. To tell the truth, all of the systems are flopping in terms of sale. The only one is the 3DS, so they should just release it there.

I just hope the localizations are not picked up by Sega, or Bamco. We will never get it or it will become Engrishdonpa. NISA did a fantastic job on those DR localizations.

NISA should do all future Tales games imo.

There's always pc. Heck there's always multiplatform. And there are handhelds, oh and cellphones.
    OH and i almost forgot.
Ps3, x360 are still alive as well.

But then again if the creators had brains they'd get enough money to fail from sony before making it an exclusive for a start up platform.
