What's your problem with the 4tb HDD? Use gparted and set the partition table to MBR and keep in mind that the max size per Partition is 2TB and that all partitions need to start within the first 2TB

    Getting banned from a Switch ain't a big deal... But when it happens, THAT is when you should do the chargeback for when you bought the system. Use it to buy a new one.
