Hacking Disaster Day Of Crisis Removing Update?

Is there a way to play my backup of Disaster Day of Crisis (PAL) on my PAL wii without installing 3.3E or having to load up Gecko OS from my SD every time I want to play the game?
I tried the Gecko OS channel and I received a green screen

Help is much appreciated.

Install StarFall and enable the skip update patch
Or reburn the iso, but remove the update from it using brickblocker. That's how I did it.
