Hacking Dios mios on my wii plays copied iso files, why?

I usually use discEx to convert my ios, but I decided to copy all my gcn discs in USB loader gx, and it plays them without me having to convert them. Should I still convert them, also I'm playing them off an USB drive.

Cool, I was weirded out by it just simply playing, usually things don't just work out like that. I'm always cautious of bricking my wii, never have though, knock on wood. So why is there such an elaborate tutorial on this site, if you can just install the correct usb loader version and dios mios wad?

That is correct, as long as you put em where your loader will see em.

Sweetah, that made my day. I only figured out that a year ago I installed DML and not DM. I felt dumb and stupid all at once. I had both of the wads on my sd card, and must of installed the wrong one, without knowing. It kept trying to get me to copy the games over to the sd, even after I used discEx. So i gave up. Installed DM a year later, BOOM! Works perfectly. this was been the best day of the year for me
