dios mios does not use cios and has it own hdd detection routine.
Usb loaders rely on cios.

Why would you use the same base for cios 249/250? why it has to be 80? Which guide told you to do that??

Read the stickies here and the tutorial section or simply the post right below yours. https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-t...ftmod-fixes-most-compatibility-issues.394397/
Like tswntk said, the answers are here. He even guided you right to it. Updating your outdated IOS's/cIOS's gets rid of a lot of headaches.

Here's more valuable info... (in reference to the different bases and d2x versions.)
cIOS are using one of the existing official IOS as "base", and apply patches to it to add USB2.0 support, EmuNAND redirection, etc.
depending on the purpose of the cIOS you want, it's best to use the corresponding "base" which itself contained that features.

IOS58 contains official support for 2.0 USB (all other IOS are only USB1.1).
IOS57 contains functions for games like call of duty, and should contains ALL features from all previous IOS (9 to 56), but IOS56 is faster to access USB so it's often prefered over IOS57.

You end installing IOS like this:
249: base 56 (for loading speed over USB)
250: base 57 (for games requiring functions only present in official IOS57)
251: This one is not used a lot. users like to install base 58 here, but it has less compatibility with USB as it's using it's own driver, but is required for few games using USB instruments or HUB.
v8 is the last final "stable" version.
v9 is a beta version with dual port support and new HDD support.
v10 is released in two version:
v10 (beta52) = v8 + HDD support added in v9. It's stable, not a beta.
v10-alternative (beta53) = v8 + HDD Support + Dual port support, but with less EmuNAND compatibility. It's stable, not a beta.

So I need
249: base 56 (for loading speed over USB)
250: base 57 (for games requiring functions only present in official IOS57)

for usb 2.0 supports?

  • cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final
  • cIOS250[57]-d2x-v8-final
Both of these cIOS wads, which you can get through ModMii, have their bases patched for USB 2.0 support.

EDIT: If you're still having issues after you update your IOS's/cIOS's check to make sure that you have your USB drive plugged into USB Port 0. It's the port that's closest to the bottom of the Wii, when your Wii is laying down flat.

I installed both of them, 249 replaced 249 and 250 replaced 250.

Still, the USB Gx and USB CFG loader don't recognize my USB.

USB GX says my USB isn't formatted correctly when it is FAT 16 kb
