I hate to be so critical of something so great I'm getting for free. This has to be untold amounts of work. I don't want to criticize crediar, but....uhg.
I just want DIOS MIOS.
I just want DIOS MIOS.

As posted some pages before:
09/08 Update
crediarI run into a basically unfixable problem with the current method of loading DIOS MIOS through injecting it into MIOS
I already coded up some tools which are able to make a valid MIOS file that can be booted directly without injecting,
But since I replace MIOS now completely, I have to add the important code from MIOS to DIOS MIOS which will take
some RE and coding time.
DEFINITELY agree. Phase was easy and simple. It just tried to create a level from your own music, sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't, but that is the direction I think all music games should go towards.SFenton said:I personally think they should've stopped with Guitar Hero... they got all those fanboys and left their old stuff behind. I've only liked their side project "Phase"

DaFees said:I may sound like a noob in saying this, and perhaps I am, but if I am to understand correctly; one would insert a gamecube game into their Wii and then dump it to a storage device (be it SD or USB) from there then they can play this dump (back up) with this MIOS. I assume some form AP measure would include taking a key from your Wii and injecting it into the dump. If the key on your Wii doesn't match the one of the dump the game wouldn't play then? This might all be wrong My point is however the dumps are created so that it is known that they only came from legit discs then couldn't somebody create a PC app that would just fake all the dumps people may have pirated and fool this MIOS into think they are legit dumps.
I guess I just I don't understand how any MIOS or App could tell the difference between a dump rip from a legit disc versus a dump downloaded off the internet and further more how such a detection couldn't be faked and injected into dumps downloaded from the internet.
I applaud Crediar for his work on this MIOS and I can understand his anti-piracy beliefs, but I just don't fully understand how he could prevent full on piracy with his MIOS?

Did you not read the thread ? It's quite simple, it allows you to keep your treasured GC dvds safe and last longer by letting you run the games from a HDD

Thank you!
Have YOU read this topic? It states you can only use retail disc for backup, wich ( maybe means ) you can only use your own discs on the Wii you've ripped them with...

So I will not be able play my backups at my friends house?
Eh what's the purpose of this then? I'd better get my original discs then and take those....
