And if his goal is to take the profit out of piracy (the WODE), how is he going to do that when the WODE works with plain ISO's and his won't? People will still purchase the WODE for that alone.
Either way, it's a waste of resources that could be better put toward improving the software itself. Someone will probably find a way to get around whatever protection he puts in it anyway. If $500,000 copy protection won't stop people, I don't think anything he comes up with will.
