Usually, if it goes well and without major issues, a month would suffice. But I'd put your hopes in two months average. =O

I'd go with it's done when it's done. Why does everyone try to estimate these time frames? Who cares? I mean all it really does it put stress on the developers. Also, the community tends to throw a fit when it's not on time (which is really REALLY dumb considering they're doing it for free).

I would prefer a little review from the alpha/beta testers.
like how they enjoy the game, how long is it, how varied, if there's a mini games or cool features that should be mentioned.
but put it inside a spoiler tag if you actually do it.

I dont remember if I mentioned or asked this before or not, but think you can make a project on Zoids Saga DS? I am a zoids fan as well and well I wanna be able to play the game x.x just a tiny request
