Hacking Difficulties with cfw

having some problems getting cfw installed. im following http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial...r-firmware-to-cfw-4-5-without-gateway.378371/ tutorial and have been mostly suscesfull and was able to boot past the black screen into cfw but whenever i run the bat it instatly says failed to connect (ironicaly if the 3ds is off it takes its time before spiting out same message). ive used the tool in the tutorial to get the ip and ive double checked that its correct and its still not working. command im using is
installcia 192.168.2.127 1 BigBlueMenu.cia
is their any alternative steps to getting the menu to install other cia's on or am i doing something wrong?

Yeah that is the most boring step. It is not perfect and fails sometimes so you have to keep trying, eventually it works. A few things to try:

• Reboot router;
• Triple check 3DS ip address
• Make sure you're pressing L when launching CFW
• Configure the router to allow communication between clients;
• Use another router;
• Remove router password and encryption
• Use a smartphone as a hotspot and connect both the computer and the 3ds to that hotspot
• Use the slot 1 connection on the 3ds
• Repeat running the bat file multiple times
