Hacking Did Anyone Successfully Make a Backup of a GC Game using CleanRip?

I have been trying with a few GC Games (Sonic Battle 2, Sonic DX, Metroid 2, etc). and all of them just spit out of the WiiU, is there another method to rip them? It's frustrating cuz I want to use Devolution as it has WiiU support yet I can't even make a backup :?

No, because the drive it the Wii U can't recognize GC games. Use a normal Wii

Devo now has USB controller & Wiimote(Classic Controller) support as of r200 or so

You need a Wii and the legit game to verify first before you can use devo on the Wii U. Then you should be able to use the ISOs from a usb device.

I thought it wasn't possible but then again, I never kept up with the Wii scene that much.

That is discouraging for people without regular Wiis, they can't utilize this function (I have one but still lol)

Once you get over the Physical Limitation of the GC disc, I believe you still can't rip GC games on WiiU because of not having the ability to turn off AHBPROT

You can disable AHBPROT on the vWii. Just add the ahb_access flag to the meta.xml file.
