instead of convert it yourself, try grab the .cia that's out there

ok but the banner at the very least, is a region problem i guess (but different to the real game from working, it should still work even though the correct banner is not shown)
so yeah the problem is bigger

well not necessarily, even though most games work region free with zero issues, and even though mario paper jam had the same banner issue but still worked doesn't mean all games with the banner issue would work region free, at the very least this just indicates the system the OP is using does not match the region of the rom he is using.....which imho if nobody else is complaining in the thread you got it from would suggest its either a issue on your end specifically or that you are the only person who has tried on a out of region console or anyone else with a out of region console has been using gateway which doesn't have the same region free issues as free CFW's

I think we are overlooking the fact that the "icon" of the game looks messed up.
It would be nice if other people under the same setup as mine could try and see if the game works for them.

I did that, I went to many sites and grabbed pretty much every .cia of Style Boutique 2 in the wild (and .3ds too, to convert myself).
I wasn't joking when I said I installed about 20 different cia of that game. The past two days have been hell.
I'm about to give up but I have invested so much time in this, I need to make it work, ugh.
Just checking... did you see the last post in the first page? The plugin didn't work, lol.

well i will say im 90% sure its a region issue, the game works fins on 9.2 n3DS (EU) using minipasta (so no firmlaunch/emunand) and works fine on 10.3 emunand o3DS with GW, that pretty much rules out it being a n3DS/o3ds issue 9.2/10.3 issue only thing left as far as i can see is the fact your on a US console......oh and the logo and banner work fine tooI think we are overlooking the fact that the "icon" of the game looks messed up.

I have this game and it runs perfect ! I adore this game and cant wait for it to come to US as Style Savvy 3 I will so buy it ! Go <snip> and search new style boutique 2 jetsaito has the converted cia game, and It seems one of them in that persons post had the same issue as you, but maybe its the version your on?
im on US 9.2 system-emunand 10.3 ( I dont get the banner game title just the room and it spinning around still runs fine) and another in that post said that the

Gonna run a few tests and report back.
I just checked jetsaito's thread and he doesn't have the .cia, that's the .3ds (I have just downloaded it again to be sure). And yeah I posted on that thread a few days ago.
And thanks for reporting back. The missing logo is not a problem then, good to know. But you are playing it on O3DS right? I need some N3DS people in here!
Enjoy the game, I love the Style Savvy series! I'm hoping for a Valentine's Day release date in the US. C'mon Nintendo.

yep, if you really really desperate to play you could try making a EU emunand if nobody else has any better suggestions

No problem! I downloaded this CIA on Jan 7, and it didn't work. I just installed it again because why not, and it's still looping.
I give up.
I just need someone with N3DS US Rxtools to run a test and see if the game works for them.

it's for sure that this game use a SysTitle from 9.6+ that is missing in your System, this happen whit TriForce Heroes on any 9.2, but if you install NFC_Module, then TriForce Heroes open and works as is on 9.2... if this game use a feature that was implemented on 9.6+ or just need the missing/updated SysTitle, it will never launch without it... look on yls8 Updates and find which SysTitles were added between your Ver and the Ver needed to play this game, but since you are on a N3DS... it's probably that you'll can't install it...
Another good example is the SSB4 latest update, on any below 9.5, it will never work, until you install a missing SysTitle (Can't remember exactly if it's "GPIO system-module"), but after installed it (Only tried on EmuNAND) the Update let's the game boot without any loop or black screen, so... for sure that it's about a missing SysTitle

in case you haven't updated your EmuNAND, try doing that... then, if that no works... you'll have to wait for EmuNAND updates or for Cryptofixed SysTitles for EmuNAND
Anyway, @cearp , first of all, thanks for all your work, it have helped and saved me a lot.
For what I undestand, cryptofix is used for 9.6+ eShop Titles works only on N3DS EmuNAND, so... since it's EmuNAND, and it can launch modified Titles, why not do Cryptofixed 9.6+ SysTitles? Adding Seed to them when downloading from NUS? Then, having only the Updated SysTitles from 9.6+ Cryptofixed, they should be able to install and work on N3DS EmuNAND, even if they are modified, right?
It's just a Theory for, hopefully, finally have EmuNAND 9.6+ on N3DS...
