Since I do not have linux nor mac os, I tried to install a Ubuntu 16.4 as a virtual machine. It does work and I can get it to actualy run the fusee gelee python script, but nothing happens on the switch itself.

Has anyone managed to get this working?

Yes, most people have, what does the terminal say when you run the script

It says this when I do it:

Important not: on desktop Linux systems, we currently require an XHCI host controller.
A good way to ensure you're likely using an XHCI backend is to plug your device into a blue 'USB 3' port.

Identified a Linux system; setting up the appropriate backend.
Found a Tegra with Device ID: ......

Setting ourselves up to smash the stack...
Uploading payload...
Smashing the stack...
The USB device stopped responding-- sure smells like we've smashed its stack. :)
Launch complete!

Then after about 20 seconds virstualbox crashes/

VirtualBox = does not work
VMWare = works!
Thank you

When you're using VMWare, don't forget to change USB compatibility from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 in your Virtual Machine Settings.

Tried VMWARE, but no luck.
It doesn't show the apx anymore. Keeps saying 'No TegraRCM device found?'
I did use USB compatibility 3.0.

Edit: VM doesn't even see the device so the virtual machine doesn't see it either.
Edit2: Does the hardware compatibility matter?

I can run virtualbox on my laptop 100% fine as soon as I try on VMWare I’ve been on the purple Ubuntu screen for over 5 minutes and haven’t even see the install option yet.......... I heavily thinking of wee need Linux to hack the switch it’s not fucking worth it

Also it should say APX in windows right? Also with the exclamation mark that the drivers aren't installed.

does windows detect it if so just presse the icon in vmware and tell it to pass it through to the guest.

In Virtualbox I could pass it through. VMWare doesn’t see it.
I’m installing Ubuntu now so I won’t have to use VM. Though now I am left without network support.
I have to say this payload is really a hassle to get working.
