So, when I found out about the Ambassador program, it occurred to me that Best Buy (and some other retailers, I'm sure) does price matching on any product you buy from them within 30 days of purchase. I'll note that I found this out when I bought my PS3 for $400 about two or three weeks before their then-unannounced price drop to $300 (and my PS3 came with Wall-E on bluray and LittleBigPlanet, not a bad deal at all for $300). A week before August 12th, I went out and bought a 3DS from Best Buy, and logged into the shop to sign up for the Ambassador program. Then after August 12th, I went back to Best Buy with my receipt and got my $85 back (price drop plus tax). Effectively, I got the best of both worlds. My 3DS ultimately only cost me $169.99 plus tax, and I get the 20 free games for the Ambassador program. Am I the only one who thought to do something like this?
