ROM Hack [Development] Pokémon ORAS: Pk3DS edited (Looking for testers)

Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking for testers for the Pk3DS edited ORAS Rom.

Including:

- All Pokemon in the wild (which means 721 in wild)
- All Legendary Pokemon's catch rate have been increased to 45
- HM's have been made much more useful: Cut is now Bug type with 70 Power and 100 Accuracy, Strength is now ~80 Power and is Rock type, both of which ALWAYS hit critical)

Bugs:


- Status conditions, such as Poison Gas and Hypnosis do ABSOLUTELY nothing
-Their animations still act as if they hit, but Status don't show nor can you take damage. However, moves like Rest still put you to sleep. (FIXED!)
- Do not use the DexNav, it freezes your game! (FIXED!)


If there is anyone, who has experience with Ohana3DS and can tell me, how to change the color of the Pokémon, please let me know via PM! :-)

I am willing to test the rom. I have gateway, the original game, and I have experience with pkHex so that I can test later parts of the game. If you'd like for me to try anything with the levels while I play through I'd be glad to. Just send me the rom and I'll put it onto my 3ds and give it a go!

Though I do have a question. Does gateway read it as a separate game to the original or would I need to swap them when I am testing the rom? I have no problem with moving files, but would be easier if I could have them both.

- Do not use the DexNav, it freezes your game!
-> Yes, only with XYWE or RSWE.
With pk3DS, you can random your wild pokemon without freeze the dexnav.

It is more randomized than yours. I edited some more wild encounter with Pk3DS and changed some edited moves. And it wont freeze on DexNav when you use it ^^ And I have fixed some bugs, when you use status conditions moves.

I assume Dream Eater is still a move that requires the opponent to be sleeping?

I didn't. I edited some of the moves and for whatever reason status moves stopped working. I fixed it in my new rom though

I may have read that slightly wrong. I thought you had intentionally done that. A reread actually clears that up. As does your post.

FYI, having more then 18 different encounters on a single route is the cause of the DexNav crashing issue. (same Pokemon on different encounter types count as separate encounters. )

So if you can manage to edit your encounters to have 18 or less on a route, you can fix the DexNav crash issue.

Four questions:
Why change Cut and Strenght's type?
Do I need to delete the v1.1, v1.2 updates forever, or can I install them after I get the patched ROM on?
Can I play online with the hacked ROM?
Will it cover ORAS and XY?

I am really looking forward for this project. Love these kind of hacks
