I'm a fan of Viewtiful Joe (on GC - pretty slow on DS) and Alien Hominid on 360.

Are there any games like this on the DS that I might not have heard of? As you can tell, I like the frantic shooters/beat em ups with nice graphics - Hominid would be perfect for DS I reckon.

There are none for DS [IMG] (well.. glory days 2 is ok I suppose)

and only 1 decent vertical shooter but it's way too short (Nanostray)

I too long for decent shooters on DS, I have been waiting such a long time now [IMG]

AstroBoy The Omega Factor is a good game for GBA if you haven't tried it.

I was going to say Alien Hominid for GBA...

    Try New Super Mario Bros.
    It looks crisp and colorful.

Yup -- Double Trouble -- and it's one of the best games on the DS, in my opinion. But it's a bit different than the console VJ games. More emphasis on puzzles and less on fighting, but it makes great use of the touch screen. Great game!

Like I say, VJ is a bit disappointing. The chaos just isn't there like it was with the GC version.

Maybe DS can't handle high framerates, even with cartoon graphics... [IMG]

Edit: Why wasn't Metal Slug Anthology made for DS?! It was on PSP and Wii...

    Still...
